STEP 1
define
This poster was designed as a supporting artifact in a social campaign called, #ThisisArts, intended to change the perception of a liberal arts degree.
AUDIENCE
Not only was this campaign directed to prospective high school students, but their parents or guardians as well. Thus, it was important to maintain a professional tone.
COLOUR PALETTE
This colour palette is based on that of Sherpa Marketing, the company that had requested this project.
STEP 2
sketch
& mockup
There is an abundance of information that this poster needed to encapsulate, so a preliminary sketch was required to conceptualize how each piece of information would be visualized prior to the final design process.
Through this sketch process, I had decided a 7-column grid layout would be best for visualizing this set of information.
STEP 3
design
To expand my design repertoire, I decided to create this infographic on Canva.
Primarily following the principles of my sketch, I made spatial and alignment adjustments to aid with legibility. The strategic use of bright blue captures the the reader's attention and draws their eyes to important elements of the infographic.
Although this was designed as a poster for distribution, this design can also be used as an image for a sponsored Instagram post.
